Shiv Khera stresses on character building & positive thinking

In latest news from Doon, Uttarakhand Jal Vidyut Nigam Limited (UJVNL) hosted a special workshop in the Himalayan Culture Centre which featured the noted inspirational speaker Shiv Khera. A battery of senior IAS officers, including the chief secretary S S Sandhu, additional chief secretary Anand Vardhan and the secretary Energy R Minakshi Sundaram aside from the managing director UJVN Saneeip Singhal.
In his address at the workshop, the CS said that one needs the light of knowledge to move ahead in life. He further said that life teaches the lesson that one cannot win by vanquishing others but by taking all with him. Sundaram stressed on more such workshops being organised in the coming days. Speaking on the occasion, Singhal said that the workshop had been organised to enhance leadership qualities in the officers manning government departments.
Shiv Khera in his address stressed on the crucial role played by character building and positive thinking based on the eternal values of life in one aspiring to be leader. He exhorted the listeners to depend more on hard work and persistent efforts to achieve goals than on the workings of Fate. He further said that to make oneself visible among crowd, one must work very hard. More, he laid stress on the aspirants for leadership and success being alert on the words they use while communicating with people. They must speak gently, clearly and simply, he said and added that the people should go for soul- searching and self-correction when failure befalls instead of blaming circumstances and others.
