A three-member committee has conducted the inspection of the DAV PG College premises. The inspection comes after the demand of the college students for students’ safety measures elicited focus following the death of a pedestrian after a boundary wall of the college collapsed on the road last month. Regarding this, the principal of the college SK Singh informed that the committee recently carried out a thorough inspection spanning four to five days. During the inspection the committee inspected the entire college to check aspects related to the safety of the students, he added

Singh further added that the committee will submit the inspection report to the Dayanand Shiksha Sansthan (DSS). Following the evaluation of the report, the DSS will initiate the necessary measures at the college to ensure the safety of the students, if deemed necessary, Singh said.

It will be recalled that because of the demand of the student union, the DSS formed a three-member committee to inspect the college for ensuring students’ safety. The committee was formed after the death of a young woman who died when a roadside wall of the college collapsed on her. Apart from this, the DSS had directed the committee to submit the inspection report within 21 days.
