Sunrise Academy celebrated the Geography Day, one of the activities of The Himalayan Geographical Society, in Dehradun on Saturday. The founder of The Himalayan Geographical Society S S Khaira presided over the programme, said the senior office- bearers of the school.
They further informed that a presentation on ‘Forest Cover Assessment Using Earth Observation Satellites,’ was made by the assistant director and deputy director at Forest Survey of India, Kaulagarh Road S K Singh.
The next presentation was made by Khaira on ‘Geography of Uttarakhand and Doon Valley’. Member of Himalayan Geographical Society Mahashwar Singh and managing director of the same Pooja Pokhriyal were present at the programme.
