Bageshwar police have found a suicide note of six pages in the Bageshwar mass suicide case which was reportedly written by 13-year-old Anjali, one of the three children found dead on March 16 along with their mother.  The superintendent of police of Bageshwar, Himanshu Verma said that the police have found a suicide note of six pages allegedly written by one of the children, Anjali. He said that the police matched the handwriting in the suicide note with the child’s handwriting in her notebook but police will analyse it through a handwriting expert too. He said that he has also formed teams to deeply analyse the suicide note to thoroughly investigate the case. He said that the suicide note stated about the problems resulting from the poor financial condition of the family.

The child has allegedly written that there was no ration to cook food at their home and their father Bhupal Ram had not come home since March 1. The SP said that as per the suicide note, Bhupal Ram had borrowed money from many people and had neither paid them back nor returned home for many days due to which, people used to pressurise his wife to pay back the money. According to the note, the wife and children were financially distressed and being mentally harassed due to his actions that led them to commit suicide, said the SP. He said that the note also mentioned how they did not get any cooperation from the local police despite complaining to them.

Verma said that the station house officer concerned has been reverted to the police line and a team of the circle officer and in-charge of Kapkot Kotwali has been formed to investigate the matter. He said that the police have also found the absconding Bhupal Ram and are questioning him about the matter too. The police will take appropriate action on the basis of the facts revealed during the investigation, added the SP.
