Scammer nabbed for selling land illegally to MLA

In latest news from Uttarakhand, acting on a complaint, the Kotwali police Kotdwar arrested a man from Nilkanth for selling land illegally to the Lansdowne MLA after forging land ownership documents and posing as a person who died long ago.  The accused is Vikram Singh Payal, resident of Kothar village in Pauri. The complainant alleged that Vikram had sold 10 nali of land in Lachmanjhula on forged documents to the MLA Dalip Singh Rawat while the land was owned by his grandfather Narayan Singh Oswal who died in 1965.

SSP Pauri Lokeshwar Singh said that as the land remained uncared for, Vikram had sold it while posing himself as Narayan Singh Oswal.
