Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has directed the State administration to provide every possible support to the technical agencies involved in the rescue operation in Silkyara tunnel in Uttarkashi. Chairing a meeting of the senior officers of the State administration at the secretariat on Thursday he said that there should be no delay in the rescue work. Dhami directed the Garhwal commissioner that support support should be provided to the central agencies engaged in the rescue work.
Dhami is keeping a close eye on the situation and is taking regular updates from the agencies engaged in the rescue operation in Silkyara to save the lives of 40 labourers stranded in the tunnel since November 12. He is also in touch with the district magistrate of Uttarkashi.
The meeting with the CM was attended by additional chief secretary Radha Raturi, secretary R Meenakshi Sundaram, Garhwal commissioner Vinay Shankar Pandey and director general of Information Banshidhar Tiwari.
