PM-JANMAN beneficiaries learn about government schemes

Union minister State for Road Transport and Highways, VK Singh, State’s Tourism, Public Works and Irrigation minster Satpal Maharaj and Haridwar MP Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ attended an event held in Bahadrabad block of Haridwar under the Pradhanmantri Janjati Adivasi Nyay Maha Abhiyan (PM-JANMAN) on Monday.

The Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually interacted with the tribal beneficiaries in various States. He sought their feedback on the government schemes and services and also informed them about the various initiatives taken by the Central government. Modi also transferred funds to the accounts of one lakh tribal beneficiaries for construction of pucca homes on the occasion.

Addressing the gathering in Haridwar on the occasion, the Union minister of State said that PM Modi had stated in 2014 that his government is that of the deprived and exploited. The works done by the Modi government during the past 10 years are there for the whole nation to see. Singh reiterated that the government is committed to ensuring the welfare of the scheduled tribes-Adivasis.

The Haridwar MP Nishank and minister Maharaj informed the gathering in detail about the benefits which will be conveniently accessible to the population of 4,006 from 779 families in four Gram Panchayats of Bahadrabad development block under PM-JANMAN. The beneficiaries from the four Gram Panchayats were also presented with the Mukhyamantri inter-caste marriage certificates, Mahalakshmi kits, Pradhanmantri Awas Yojana- Gramin certificates and cooking gas connections under the Ujjwala Yojana. School students presented a cultural programme on the occasion which was attended by beneficiary villagers from four Gram Panchayats in the blocks along with officials and local public representatives.
