The Uttarakhand Congress has attacked the BJP government of the State for the bail granted to Hakam Singh, the main accused in the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UKSSSC) recruitment scam.
The chief spokesperson of State Congress Garima Dasauni said on Tuesday that the unemployed youth of the State are feeling cheated as Hakam Singh who was referred to as the kingpin of the recruitment scam has got bail due to poor advocacy by the government in court. Launching an attack on the State government she said that the Hakam Singh and Ankita Bhandari murder cases have exposed the claim of the State government that it is sympathetic towards the poor and downtrodden. She said that the BJP government is providing protection to the culprits and corrupt.
Dasauni said that the government has failed to provide a good lawyer to the parents of Ankita Bhandar and has appointed a special public prosecutor as their advocate without their consent of the parents of Ankita Bhandari. She said that instead of ensuring the strictest possible punishment for the offenders the government and police administration are protecting them.
Dasauni said that the law and order situation of the state is very pathetic and the criminals are coming out of the jails one by one.
