SRT campus of HNBGU hosts lecture series on aquatic biodiversity

The department of Zoology of Swami Ram Teerth campus, HNB Garhwal University hosted a two-day lecture series aimed at enriching the scientific outlook of postgraduate and research scholars in life sciences by connecting them with renowned experts and promoting cutting-edge knowledge sharing in areas of aquatic biodiversity, aquaculture and biotechnological applications. In his address, the convener of the programme, N K Agarwal, underscored the department’s commitment to academic excellence and hands-on learning. The chief speaker was the secretary, NAAS, New Delhi and former vice-chancellor CIFE, Mumbai, Prof W S Lakra who delivered a series of lectures on aquatic biodiversity management, biotechnological advancements in aquaculture and trends in inland and cold water fisheries.
On this occasion, certificates of participation were awarded to 35 participants who had successfully completed a field training programme on Cold Water Fish Farming, held earlier on March 18.
