Haridwar based teenage girl to be Uttarakhand CM for a day

Haridwar-based teenage girl Shristi Goswami will hold the position of Uttarakhand CM for a day on January 24, that falls on National Girl Child Day. On this day, she will review the reports of the ongoing development projects in State like Atal Ayushman Scheme, Smart City project, Homestay Scheme by tourism department and the development projects in the summer capital Gairsain.

Informing this, the SCPCR chief Usha Negi disclosed that in order to empower the girl child, the CM Trivendra Singh Rawat has provided a learning opportunity to Shristi Goswami who was elected as a chief minister of Bal Vidhansabha in 2018 for three years and currently pursuing BSc in Agriculture in Roorkee. Negi said that the child commission formed Uttarakhand Bal Vidhansabha with an objective to help children to learn democratic values and observe how to work with an open and transparent process and National Girl Child Day is an apt opportunity for them to learn and grow.

Moreover, the officials informed that around 12 departments including Public Works Department (PWD), Police department, State Women Empowerment and Child Development (WECD) department and education department besides Dehradun district magistrate have been instructed to present five minutes presentation to the one-day CM in Vidhansabha on January 24.
