The Indian Military Academy (IMA) in Dehradun has cancelled the Commandant’s Parade which was scheduled to take place on Thursday. The decision came after the untimely demise of CDS General Bipin Rawat. However, other programs will take place on schedule. Academy’s Public Relations Officer Col Himani Pant said,” IMA, Dehradun has cancelled Commandant’s Parade that was scheduled to take place today. The decision regarding holding passing out parade will be taken after receiving instructions from the Army Headquarters.”
General Bipin Rawat died on Wednesday in a helicopter crash in Tamil Nadu along with his wife and 11 other army personnel who were on board the IAF Mi-17V5 helicopter.
