Considering the poor vehicle parking condition in the city, the Dehradun district magistrate Sonika on Wednesday directed the Mussoorie Dehradun Development Authority (MDDA) to update the administration about the progress of its multi-level parking project. She asked the officials concerned to make a report about what has been done so far in the project and submit it to the administration soon. Sonika stated this during a meeting to discuss the 30-point programme which was attended by officials of various departments on Wednesday. She instructed all the officers to take action on the points related to their department related to the 30-point programme and send its information to the chief development officer Jharna Kamthan. She inquired the officials of the Forest department about the progress of ecotourism across the district and directed them to give detailed information and update through a report. She said that tourist flow is consistently growing across the district and the department should work properly to promote the concept and execute the plans properly to get achievable results. The DM also expressed her concern over the stray animals and directed the officials of the Municipal Corporation of Dehradun (MCD) to submit an updated report about the arrangements made to provide shelter to destitute animals and associated works. She also instructed the officials of all departments to digitise the records and submit the respective reports following the procedure. Besides this, she also directed them to prepare the annual calendar of their respective departments and upload it on the PM Gati Shakti portal. She also asked the departments concerned to mark encroachment on the government land and take legal action to remove it and update its progress in the portal. She said that all departments are expected to work in coordination and finish their respective tasks in the stipulated time.
