Dhami announces various development works in Pauri

Says that no person will be allowed to disturb the harmony in the State

Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that no person will be allowed to disturb the harmony in Uttarakhand. He said that the State government is working to fulfill the promises made by the Bharatiya Janata Party before the Assembly elections of 2022. Stating that he had announced a few days before the election that if re-elected the BJP government would work towards implementation of Uniform Civil Code in the state, Dhami said that a decision to form a high level committee for preparing the draft for this code has already been taken in the first cabinet meeting of the state government. The chief minister said this while speaking at the Kranti Diwas Mela organised at Peethsain in Pauri district in the memory of the Peshawar incident hero Veer Chandra Singh Garhwali. He announced on the occasion that this fair will be held as a State fair. Dhami also announced various other developmental works including sanction for the construction of parking in Thalisain, asphaltisation of all roads lacking it in the Srinagar Assembly constituency, the construction of mini stadium in Devrari Devi ground Bungidhar, Chauthan and other works.

Addressing to the gathering on the occasion, he praised the people for according respect to the legend, stating that last year in a function at Peethsain, when Defence minister was here and it rained during the function, the public had continued to listen to the speech. This instance was later narrated in many functions by the Defence minister Rajnath Singh. Dhami said that the government will provide transport facility to pregnant women from home to hospital and back. He said that the state government is focusing its efforts to providing more facilities to the public. The chief minister also felicitated some ex-servicemen who had served during the 1971 war. Cabinet minister Dhan Singh Rawat, Pauri MLA Raj Kumar Pori  and others were also present on the occasion.
