Covid-19 tally 64,065 in U’khand

Nine deaths, 480 new cases reported on Thursday

The tally of novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) patients in Uttarakhand increased to 64,065 on Thursday with the state health department reporting 480 fresh cases of the disease. The department also reported the death of nine patients of the disease which increased the death toll to 1,047 in the state. The authorities discharged 602 patients of the disease after their recovery on the day. A total of 58,823 patients have so far recovered from the disease in the state. The recovery percent of Covid-19 in the state is now at 91.82 and the sample positivity rate is at 5.94 percent.

Three patients of Covid-19 were reported dead at Sushila Tiwari government hospital Haldwani on Thursday. Two patients each succumbed to the disease at Mahant Indiresh hospital Dehradun and District hospital Rudrapur. One patient each was reported dead at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Rishikesh and Kailash Hospital Dehradun.

Out of 602 patients discharged on the day, 150 were from Udham Singh Nagar and 81 belonged to Dehradun. The authorities reported 118 patients from Pauri, 84 from Dehradun, 73 from Rudraprayag, 47 from Nainital, 41 from Almora, 25 from Haridwar, 19 each from Bageshwar, Chamoli and Tehri, 14 from Pithoragarh, 10 from Udham Singh Nagar, nine from Uttarkashi and two from Champawat on Thursday.

Uttarakhand now has 3680 active patients of the disease. Dehradun district with 637 active cases is at top of table while with 545 active cases Pauri district is on second position. Haridwar has 417, Nainital 348, Rudraprayag 320, Tehri 261, Chamoli 234, Pithoragarh 212, Udham Singh Nagar 178, Uttarkashi 159, Almora 142 and Bageshwar 117 active cases of the disease. With 110 active cases of Covid-19, Champawat is now at the bottom of the table.
