Covid-19: 86 recoveries, 61 new cases & one death reported in State on Sunday

The trend of more people recovering from Covid-19 than the number of new cases continued on Sunday in Uttarakhand. A total of 61 positive cases and 86 recoveries were reported in the state while the death of one Covid patient was also reported. According to the health department, there are now 1,175 active cases of Covid in the state with the recovery percentage currently standing at 95.67 per cent.

Meanwhile, as part of the vaccination programme, 50 sessions were held in the state on Sunday. A total of 2,437 beneficiaries were vaccinated during these sessions. According to official sources, a total of 501 vaccination sessions have been held so far with a total of 31,228 persons being vaccinated in the state till date.

Of the positive cases reported in the state on Sunday, 28 were reported from Dehradun district, 12 from Haridwar, 10 from Nainital, nine from Udham Singh Nagar and one from Rudraprayag. On the same day, zero positive cases were reported from Almora district, Bageshwar, Chamoli, Pauri, Pithoragarh, Tehri and Uttarkashi. Of the total active cases at present, 212 are in Nainital district, 206 in Dehradun, 180 in Haridwar, 125 in Bageshwar, 99 in Almora, 15 in Chamoli, 10 in Champawat, 30 in Pauri, 69 in Pithoragarh, 24 in Rudraprayag, 64 in Tehri, 117 in Udham Singh Nagar and 24 in Uttarkashi district. Similarly, out of the 86 patients discharged on Sunday, 63 were from Dehradun district, 22 in Nainital and one in Uttarkashi.
