The regional employment office of Dehradun will organise the second mega job fair of the year on its premises on June 24 in which about 56 private companies will be offering job opportunities to the unemployed youth of the State.
Further, according to the regional employment officer (REO) Ajay Singh, the candidates will be interviewed for about 2100 vacancies by those representing the attending companies in the job fair.
He informed that the interested candidates can pre-register offline in the employment office by filling out the application form with the required documents. In addition to this, he said that the REO is considering making an online platform where candidates from other districts can register themselves without any hassle.
Apart from this, he urges the candidates to carry their original certificates at the time of pre-registration. Candidates with the minimum qualification of class X to post-graduation can also apply for a job. He said that about 50 plus private companies are expected to participate in the mega job fair.
Singh further stated that interviews will be held for about 2100 vacancies for various types of jobs, including banking, hospitality, service sector, manufacturing, sales and marketing.
“The job fairs are organised once in every two months by the district administration with the objective to creating and tailoring employment opportunities for the unemployed youth of the State,” he said, adding that REO had organised a job fair last year in which more than 250 youth had got jobs.
He hoped that this mega job fair will be more successful in terms of employment opportunities created for the unemployed.
