Centre has refused to provide financial assistance for Rudraprayag Sainik School- Pratima Singh

Criticising the union government’s refusal to grant financial assistance to the proposed Sainik School in Rudraprayag, the Uttarakhand Congress has said that the BJP has deceived the people of the state where majority of people belong to the families of armed forces. The spokesperson of Uttarakhand Congress Pratima Singh said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his Rishikesh visit had lauded the role of the people of the state in the armed forces and Defence minister Rajnath Singh had also talked about taking ex-servicemen in confidence. She said that the decision of the union government on Rudraprayag Sainik School is deplorable and shows that the BJP is only interested in politics on the issue. Singh said that the issue of Rudraprayag Sainik School proves that the BJP is not interested in education and the PM who can purchase a plane of Rs 8,000 crore and start a Rs 20,000 crore central vista project has no budget for opening a school
