Indian cricketer Mohammad Shami visited the prestigious Sherwood College here on Wednesday. The cricketer was accorded a warm welcome in the school. Interacting with the students, Shami said that fast bowling is an art and the bowlers should understand the techniques of batsmen to succeed in this field. He said that cricket is gaining tremendous popularity in the country and the IPL has provided a special platform for the young players to perform and showcase their talent. Shami said that the Sherwood college is a prestigious institution and it has all the facilities and the students interested in sports can take advantage of these facilities.
The Principal of the college Amandeep Sandhu felicitated Shami by presenting him a memento. College captain Prithviraj Kumar, teachers, students and employees of the college were present on the occasion.
