CM suggests Nepal should be part of Manaskhand Mandir Mala mission

Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has said that a large area of Nepal also comes under the ancient Manaskhand region and work under the Manaskhand Mandir Mala mission should also be undertaken in Nepal. The CM made this suggestion to the high level delegation of Nepal which met him on Thursday.

The CM said that work under Manaskhand Mandir Mala mission is going on in Uttarakhand and in the first phase 16 temples are included in it. He said that expansion  of the Mandir mala mission in Nepal will make the pilgrims coming to Uttarakhand also visit Nepal and it will help in creating opportunities of livelihood in that country. Dhami said that both India and Nepal face similar challenges. He added that there is much similarity in the culture and religious practices in the people of Uttarakhand and Nepal.

He assured the delegation that every possible help will be provided to Nepal in its development. The CM said that work on many schemes and providing facilities to the general public are going on in Uttarakhand. Under the Mukhyamantri Ghasyari Kalyan Yojana silage at very less price is made available in the mountainous parts of the State. One incubator centre each is opened in Garhwal and Kumaon regions of the State which are providing training for increasing the income of the villagers.  He suggested that Nepal can work on these models being practiced in Uttarakhand. Dhami added that interest free loan of Rs five lakh is provided to the women self help groups. He said that most of the public facilities are being provided online by the Apni Sarkar portal. Dhami expressed his willingness to extend help to Nepal in adopting such schemes.

 Pampa Bhusal, a member of the Nepali delegation, said that Uttarakhand  is moving forward on the path of development under a young and energetic leadership. She said that the information about the Manaskhand Mandir Mala mission will be provided to the tourism minister of Nepal. She added that talks with the Nepal government will be made on sending a delegation to Uttarakhand to study the schemes which are in the interest of Nepal. The delegation included Rameshwar Rai Yadav, Satya Pahadi, Suresh Kumar Rai and Chakrapani Khanal Baldev.

 The BJP State president Mahendra Bhatt, Dehradun mayor Sunil Uniyal ‘Gama’ and others were present on the occasion.
