Army jawan from Pithoragarh dies in Pulwama

In latest news from Uttarakhand, a jawan of the Indian Army deployed in the 50 National Rifles in Pulwama of Jammu and Kashmir Deepak Singh Sugra (27) who hailed from Gangolihat in Pithoragarh district died of bullet wounds.  He joined the Army in 2015. Notably, he returned to his post after spending some days with his family two weeks ago. It is learnt that his wife had died three months ago.   According to his younger brother, the family was informed of his death of bullet wounds through a midnight phone call made by an Army officer. The circumstances under which the jawan died are not clear yet.
