Six teams to play 18 matches

In Dehradun latest news, the nine-day Uttarakhand Cricket Premier League (UCPL) being organised by the Cricket Association of Uttarakhand (CAU) on the lines of IPL commenced at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Dehradun on Thursday with the maiden match being played between Dehradun Dabang and Udham Singh Nagar Tiger. The Dehradun-based team won the first match of the league with ease. Notably, six teams scheduled to play 18 matches in the first edition of the league. Two matches are being played daily-one starting at 3.30 pm and the other at 7.30 pm. However, three matches will be played on June 26. The organisers said that the spectators need not buy tickets to watch the UPL matches.
