The students of Class 11 will no longer read the poem of Sumitranandan Pant because of the changes made by CBSE in its Hindi syllabus. His poem “O Ankhe” has been removed from the course meant for the new academic session 2023-24. This aside, compositions by Mira Bai and Sant Kabir have been removed. Notably, CBSE pattern is being followed in the Kendriya Vidyalayas and many private schools.
