51 new Covid-19 cases surface in U’khand on Thursday

The State health department reported 51 new cases of Covid-19 from different parts of the State on Thursday. In  the provisional State capital Dehradun the situation of the Covid -19 is continuing to escalate prompting the district administration to come in an alert mode. The authorities reported 44 new cases of Covid-19 from Dehradun on the day. The department found two new cases of the disease each from Almora, Chamoli and Haridwar districts while one case of the disease was found in Pauri district. 

In a positive development the authorities also declared 52 patients cured from the disease on the day.  The department has so far detected 105036 new cases of the disease from January 1, 2022  till date. A total of 1,00,778 patients have recovered from the disease so far. The recovery percentage of the disease was at 98 per cent on Thursday. A total of 338 patients have lost their lives from the disease from January 1 last year in the state.  The State now has 98 active patients of Covid-19.  Dehradun has 68 active cases of the disease while Nainital has nine, Haridwar eight active cases of the disease. Pauri has five, Udham Singh Nagar and Uttarkashi have two active cases each while Chamoli and Rudraprayag have one case  of the disease each.
