36 candidates file nomination from various constituencies

A total of 36 candidates filed their nomination papers from different Assembly constituencies in the state on Monday. So far, 42 candidates have filed their nomination papers. In Dehradun district, nine candidates filed their nomination papers. These included BJP candidate Umesh Sharma ‘Kau’ from Raipur constituency, BJP candidate Savita Kapoor from Dehradun Cantt, AAP’s Dimple and Tara Devi along with independent candidate Amar Singh Svedia from Rajpur Road, independent candidate Manish Guniyal from Mussoorie, UKD Democratic candidate Raj Kishore Singh Rawat and AAP candidate Raju Maurya Ketan from Doiwala.

In Tehri district, six candidates filed their nomination papers in four out of six Assembly constituencies on Monday. Congress candidate Jot Singh Bisht filed his nomination papers from Dhanaulti, BJP candidate Vinod Kandari, Congress candidate Mantri Prasad Naithani and UKD candidate Diwakar Bhatt filed their nominations from Devprayag constituency, BJP candidate Shakti Lal Shah filed his nomination from Ghansali while Dinesh Dhanai of Uttarakhand Jan Ekta Party filed his nomination from Tehri constituency.
