Very heavy rain likely in 3 districts, heavy rain in 3 districts today

Heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely to occur in three districts today while heavy rainfall is likely in three other districts. The State meteorological centre has issued an alert regarding the possibility of heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places in Chamoli, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh districts on Thursday. Apart from this it has also issued a warning (watch) regarding the possibility of heavy rains at isolated places in Uttarkashi, Dehradun and Rudraprayag districts today. Apart from this, light to moderate rainfall/thunderstorms are likely to occur at most places in the mountains and at a few places in the plains with intense showers also likely at isolated places in the districts of the State.

The provisional State capital Dehradun is forecast to witness partly to generally cloudy skies with light to moderate rainfall/thundershowers likely to occur. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 32 degrees Celsius and 24 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun on Thursday. Meanwhile, the maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various parts of the State on Wednesday were 31.7 degrees Celsius and 22.8 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 32.6 degrees Celsius and 24.4 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 20.1 degrees Celsius and 15.8 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 24.4 degrees Celsius and 18.2 degrees Celsius respectively in New Tehri.
