Law & order situation pathetic in U’khand- Mahara

Launching a scathing attack on the state government, the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Karan Mahara has said that the law and order situation has got completely derailed in Uttarakhand. He said that three murders in one single day in different parts of the state underlie the pathetic condition of law and order. Mahara said that on one hand the Char Dham Yatra is marred by mismanagement, the murders are exposing law and order condition in the state. He said the murder of Mandal Mahamantri of BJP in Shantipuri in a mining related incident proves that the concern of Congress party that mining mafia are active in the state and getting patronage. He said that one can understand the situation of security of a common man in a regime where a Mandal Mahamantri of BJP gets murdered. Mahara said that one woman was murdered in Patel Nagar area of Dehradun and one person was murdered near Rishikesh on the same day the BJP leader was killed. 

The PCC president said that it appears as if the whole system and government is busy in ensuring victory of chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami in Champawat. The police administration is lying prostrate before the politicians and the senior officers are not at all concerned about the security of common people. Condemning the law and order situation in the state, the PCC chief appealed that the CM Dhami should give priority to improving the law and order condition and reins in the mining mafia in the state. He said that at the time when the Char Dham Yatra is underway the whole country is looking at Uttarakhand and in such a condition the state government should ensure that no negative message emanates, he said.

“A message of safe Uttarakhand should come out of the state during the ongoing Char Dham Yatra and for it the government should work with promptness and dedication,’’ he said.
