In a significant update on India’s maiden solar mission Aditya L 1, the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) said in a statement that the Aditya Solarwind Particle Experiment (ASPEX) payload has started functioning efficiently. Notably, ISRO had successfully launched the space craft Aditya L 1 from Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh on September 2. According to ISRO scientists, it is the first space-based laboratory meant to study the functioning and secrets of the Sun from a hallow orbit Lagrangion point around 1.5 million km away from the earth. The ISRO scientists further claimed that all the modern devices planted in the space craft are now functioning well.
