In latest news from Uttarakhand, the Pauri district youth welfare and Prantiya Suraksha Dal organised youth festival in the auditorium of the district culture department, inaugurated by the president of the district panchayat, Shanti Devi. The district youth development department officer who is also the in-charge of the district Prantiya Suraksha Dal Ravindra Kumar Singh said that 15 development blocks of the district were participating in the festival. In the folk song category competition, Ekeshwar block stood first, Kaljikhal clinched the second position and Dugadda finished third. In the folk dance category, Kot block came out first while Pauri and Jaiharikhal stood second and third. In one-act play category, Pokhra secured the first position while Thalisain and Dwarikhal finished second and third, respectively. The winners were conferred with awards and they will participate in the competitions as representatives of the district teams.
