Yellow warning issued for four districts today

A yellow warning has been issued regarding the possibility of heavy rainfall in four districts of the State today. The State meteorological centre has forecast the likelihood of heavy rainfall at isolated places in Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Chamoli and Bageshwar districts on Saturday. Apart from this, light to moderate rainfall/thunderstorms are likely to occur at most places in the mountains and at a few places in the plains of the State with intense showers likely at isolated places in the mountainous regions today. The provisional State capital Dehradun is forecast to witness partly cloudy sky with light to moderate rainfall/thunderstorms likely to occur in some areas. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 33 degrees Celsius and 24 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun today. Meanwhile, the maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various parts of the State on Friday were 32.5 degrees Celsius and 23.5 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 33.4 degrees Celsius and 25.6 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 21 degrees Celsius and 15.3 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 25 degrees Celsius and 18 degrees Celsius respectively in New Tehri.
