U’khand students excel in EMRS fest-2022

 The students of Uttarakhand gave a good performance in the Eklavya Model Residential School (EMRS) and Cultural Fest-2022 organised in Karnataka recently.

The fest was organised by the National Education Society for Tribal Students (NESTS) of the union ministry of tribal affairs and Art of Living International Centre, Bangalore. EMR schools from all over the country participated in the fest.

The team from Uttarakhand won a total of 15 trophies in different events out of which eight trophies were in literary events such as spell bee, Kavya path, storytelling, debate, creative writing and seven trophies in cultural fest in events such as instrumental solo and group, group dance, painting and painting in teachers’ category. The Uttarakhand team was awarded with the overall champion’s trophy for their performance and discipline in the fest followed by Himachal Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh as runners-up.

The Chairman, EMRS Society and principal secretary, Social Welfare, L Fanni, additional director tribal welfare, Yogendra Rawat and Principal, EMRS Kalsi, G.C. Badoni congratulated the students for their achievement. 

The team Uttarakhand consisted of 90 participants and escorts from all the three EMRS schools of the state. The team was led by the vice principal EMRS Kalsi, Sudha Painuli.
