The International Radiology Day was celebrated in the SGRR School of Paramedical Sciences on Thursday. Specialists of radiology explained the core of radiology to the students on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, the head of radiology depatment at Mahant Indiresh Hospital Dr Rajiv Azad said that drastic developments have taken place in the discipline of medical sciences after the advent of radiology. “Radiology is playing a significant role in the accurate diagnosis of the diseases of the patients. The radiology reports play an important role in the decision of the doctor while treating the patient,’’ he said.
The dean of SGRR School of Paramedical Science, Dr Malvika Singh said that radiology students must update themselves as per the recent demands in the market. She said that International Radiology Day is celebrated every year in the memory of Sir Wilhem Konard Roentgen, the German scientist who invented X-ray and was awarded Nobel prize.
