U’khand hikes circle rates of land after three years

 After an interval of three years the circle rates in the State have been revised. The State cabinet in its meeting approved the plan to revise the rates which would increase the rates of properties in many areas of the State. The chief secretary SS Sandhu said that the circle rates were not revised from the last two years due to the pandemic of Covid -19.

The finance secretary  Dilip Jawalkar said that the state has been divided into 57,000 areas and in 39,000 areas the circle rates have been increased by less than 50 per cent while in 5299 areas the circle rates have been increased by 51to 100 per cent. In five per cent of the areas, the circle rates have been increased by 100 per cent and more.
