The three-day 19th State Conference of Uttaranchal Orthopaedic Association ‘UAIOACON 2023’ commenced at Shri Guru Ram Rai Institute of Medical and Health Sciences on Friday. In the conference 250 orthopaedic specialists from all over the country are participating.
The head of department (HoD), department of Orthopaedics and the organizing secretary of the conference, Dr Puneet Gupta informed that the conference would serve as an ideal platform to understand many significant orthopaedic subjects and provide better treatment to the patients.
The Vice Chancellor of the SGRR University U S Rawat and other dignitaries inaugurated the conference by lighting the lamp at the auditorium of the institute. This year the theme of the conference is ‘strong bone strong nation’. The Ortho specialists also conducted live surgeries in the conference.
Speaking on the occasion the former president of the Indian Orthopaedic Association Dr Ramesh Sen said that the prime objective of this conference is to acquaint the young generation of Orthopaedic surgeons with the ultramodern techniques of treatment so that their benefits can reach the patients and humanity.
The President of Dr Navin Thakker said that the association is engaged in commendable work all over India for the improvement of Orthopaedic healthcare services and betterment of patients. He said that the association will always be committed to solve the problems faced by orthopaedic surgeons all over India.
