A few hours after a murder was committed in the Hathi Pul police station limit, the Haridwar police managed to arrest the accused. Police said that a Kankhal resident identified as Karan was murdered by a group of assailants at around 6 in the morning. Upon being informed of the murder, SSP, SP (crime), SP (city) and CO (city) rushed to the site and some teams were constituted to crack the crime. The police succeeded in nabbing the prime accused identified as Harshit along with the murder weapon. Police privy to the investigation said that as many as ten cases were found lodged against the deceased, adding that the arrested accused was being interrogated now.
