The Bharatiya Janata Party organised various activities across the State to celebrate Pran Pratishtha of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya on Monday. BJP State president Mahendra Bhatt recited the Sundarkand along with devotees at the Narsinh temple in Joshimath. Bhatt said, “The manner in which Deepawali was celebrated in Devbhumi felt like how the celebration must have been in Treta Yug. In addition to the three types of Deepawalis traditionally celebrated in Uttarakhand, from now Sri Ram Bagwal will be celebrated on January 22 in the future too. We are fortunate to witness the revival of Bharatiya cultural values. With Pran Pratishtha in this temple of national cultural revival, an important stage in this task has been completed in the service of Lord Ram. Now all of us have to move forward with a resolve to work for the nation,” he said.
Religious programmes were organised at prominent temples and sacred places. Party leaders viewed the live telecast of the ceremony and participated in special Artis at various locations. At the party’s State headquarters in Dehradun, Hanuman Chalisa was recited and a Deepotsav was celebrated in the evening. BJP general secretary (Organisation) Ajaey Kumar congratulated party members on the Pran Pratishtha of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya. The party members also danced to religious songs on the occasion.
