The Bharatiya Janata Party has alleged that Congress leader Sam Pitroda’s racist comments are part of a conspiracy to break the nation. The BJP State spokesman Suresh Joshi that the Congress which itself traces its roots to foreigners is insulting Indians by referring to them as people of foreign descent.

Addressing the media at the BJP State office here on Thursday, Joshi said that Pitroda’s comment is anti-national and strongly condemnable. He said, “The Congress has never accepted India as one nation. It is due to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel that all States united under one flag. Jawaharlal Nehru was given the responsibility of bringing only one State- Kashmir into the national fold but even in this task he worked to divide the nation by imposing Article 370.”

Joshi further said that the nation was partitioned due to the political ambitions of the Congress. A part of Kashmir was occupied by Pakistan and a large area of the nation was handed over to China by the Congress. “The latest statement of the Congress think tank signals towards the party’s plan to divide the nation and hand it over to foreign powers. As the Lok Sabha election progresses, the real face and intentions of the Congress party are coming to the fore for the public to see. This is not just about a party’s politics but about a foreign mentality versus a Swadeshi ideology,” the BJP State spokesman said.

Taking a dig at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Joshi said that the x-ray which he talks about has been clarified by Pitroda’s statement. “He wants to divide the Indians on the basis of east, west, north and south along with their appearance and colour of their skin. Instead of relying on the x-ray the Congress leaders should clear their minds to witness the unity in diversity which is the character of India.
