Severe cold day conditions likely in plains today

The State meteorological centre has issued an alert regarding the possibility of cold day to severe cold day conditions in the plains on Wednesday. Dense to very dense fog is also likely to occur in some parts of plains especially in Udham Singh Nagar and Haridwar districts. The cold day to severe cold day conditions are likely to occur at a few places in the plains especially in Udham Singh Nagar and Haridwar districts today.

The provisional State capital Dehradun is forecast to experience mainly clear to partly cloudy sky with mist likely to occur during the morning hours. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 23 degrees Celsius and six degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun on Wednesday.

The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various parts of the State on Tuesday were 24.4 degrees Celsius and seven degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 11.5 degrees Celsius and 5.2 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 14.4 degrees Celsius and 2.7 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 15.4 degrees Celsius and 3.4 degrees Celsius respectively in New Tehri.
