Recruitment exams transparent, Congress allegations baseless: BJP

Terming the allegations leveled by the Congress regarding the junior assistant examination conducted by the Uttarakhand Public Service Commission (UKPSC) a bundle of lies, the Bharatiya Janata Party said that instead of a healthy tradition and facts the Congress now has to resort to disinformation. The BJP State spokesman Virendra Singh Bisht said that the Congress is confused after transparent examinations and a strict anti-copying law in the State.

Raising questions and playing politics on the competitive exams has become like a struggle for saving its existence for the Congress, he said. “The UKPSC has also clarified the situation regarding the examination. Instead of different serial order, the questions in different sets of question papers were in the same serial order but this has not affected the cleanliness of the examination. The Congress wants to give this a political colour and use propaganda to keep the issue alive. Breaking the morale of the youth is part of the Congress agenda. The commission has done well by conducting transparency examination but the Congress is unable to digest this.  For years the Congress was robbing the youth of their rights with examinations mired by copying and backdoor appointments. Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami showed courage and got recruitment exams of the past probed to send elements facilitating malpractices behind bars in addition to bringing a strict anti-copying law to break the back of the mafia involved in examination malpractices. Instead of repenting its actions, the Congress has forgotten its past deeds and is delivering sermons which the public has already rejected,” said Bisht.

He further claimed that the law and order situation in Uttarakhand is better with a zero tolerance policy being adopted by the government. Unlike the past, the government is not sheltering criminal elements but taking strict action against them. The Congress needs to recall its past, said the BJP State spokesman.
