U’khand Congress criticises Dhami Govt & UKPSC for irregularities in junior assistant examination

Launching an attack on the State government for alleged discrepancies in the question papers of the junior assistant recruitment examination, the Uttarakhand Congress has said that the Uttarakhand Public Service Commission (UKPCS) is playing with the sentiments of the unemployed. Interacting with the media persons at the State headquarters of the Congress party here on Monday, the secretary of communication wing of All India Congress Committee (AICC), New Delhi, Vaibhav Walia said that in the name of the recruitment examinations the State government is fiddling with the sentiments of the youth which is a cruel joke. He said that the youngsters had great expectations when Pushkar Singh Dhami took over as the chief minister of the State. They believed that the CM would help in ending unemployment but in the last one year the unemployed are finding themselves cheated due to a series of paper leaks and irregularities in recruitment examinations.

Walia said that the unemployed who appeared in Uttarakhand Police, Patwari- Lekhpal, Forest guard, Review Officer (RO), Assistant Review Officer (ARO), PSC, lecturer, Assistant Engineer (AE), Lower PCS, Upper PCS and Junior Engineer recruitment process are  in condition of endless wait as no one has been given appointment. He also attacked the State government for unleashing brutal force on unemployed people in Dehradun on February 8 and 9.Walia presented some documents which he said are proof of the irregularities in the Junior Assistant examination held on March 5.

The chief spokesperson of Uttarakhand Congress Garima Dasauni said it is unfortunate that the junior assistant examination held on March 5 has come under cloud due to serious errors committed by the UKPSC. She said that the government is not able to conduct the examinations in a fair and transparent manner. Dasauni said that in the Junior Assistant examinations held on March 5, the candidates were provided four sets of question papers which is a normal practice. She said that what raises eyebrows is the fact that all four papers have the same questions and their sequencing was also similar. Dasauni said that some candidates have complained that the seal of their questions was broken while others claim that the seal was tempered with. She added that the special number on the question paper and answer sheets should be the same but at many places they were different. “Why such glaring errors being committed by the commission? Why is the government not serious about the future of the youth,’’ she asked.

The State president of the National Students Union of India (NSUI) Vikas Negi said that the CM Dhami is getting thanks rallies organised in different parts of the State but these rallies are being attended only by the BJP workers.
