In latest news from Doon, the State chief secretary Radha Raturi said while virtually participating in a wildfire review meeting chaired by the Union home secretary that no report of forest blaze has been received from anywhere in Uttarakhand in the past 24 hours. She further said that the number of wildfire incident kept coming down in the past two days and added that .01 per cent of Uttarakhand’s total forest cover has been affected by the forest fire this year. She ascribed the success in controlling the forest blaze to the sincere efforts put by by the government.
She further said that monitoring meetings are being held at the initiative of the chief minister.
