2 youths held with knives in Haldwani

In latest news from Uttarakhand, the police-on alert after the Vanbhulpura riot and with election drawing near- caught two persons found moving about in Haldwani in night hours with knives in separate incidents and arrested them.   Later, the duo was presented in court, police added. In the first incident, a youth was spotted during the police’s night patrolling in a place half a km away from Forestry Training Academy gate. As police charged him he tried to flee. Finally, he was caught and as police searched him, a knife was found in his possession. Identified as Rizwan (20), resident of Vanbhulpura, he was arrested.   In the second incident, a police team spotted a youth trying to hide behind a wall in the Hiranagar forest compound. While searching him, police found a knife on him too and arrested him. He was identified as Dharmendra (34), resident of Panchsheel Colony phase- 2, Mukhani.
