Dehradun based orthopaedic surgeon and Padma Shri recipient Dr BKS Sanjay has been included among the 23 positive changemakers in the world in ‘The Thickest Book in the World’ a Guinness World Record. Dr Sanjay was honoured with a medal and a Guinness certificate by Harrow mayor Ramji Chauhan during a function at London’s Lords cricket ground.
Dr Sanjay’s name has been recorded in the Guinness book of world records for the second time. He first set a world record for successfully operating a 16.5 kg thigh bone tumor in 2005. It was 45 centimeters long with 30-centimetre width. A well known orthopaedic surgeon, he has also saved numerous limbs and lives with his surgical skills. His name has also been mentioned in the Limca Book of Records for his outstanding surgical contributions.
