Moment marks restoration of Sanatan Dharma’s great glory: CM

 Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami appeared immersed in religious fervour and spiritual devotion on the day the Idol of Ram Lalla was ritually installed with a mega consecration ceremony held in Ayodhya on Monday.

Dhami began his day by visiting the temple located at his official residence. Here he recited the verses of Shri Ramcharitmanas. He also visited the cow shed of his residence where he performed Gau Sewa.  

Speaking on the occasion, he said that it is a moment of great privilege for all of us to witness the restoration of the glory of Sanatan culture, in the form of consecration of Ram temple under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.  

Dhami said that after 500 years of long struggle and sacrifices of many devotees, we are witnessing this grand and divine event. “Shri Ram belongs to every person, he is present in every particle. On this auspicious occasion, there is joy, enthusiasm and fervour all around,’’ he said. 

He called upon all the people of Uttarakhand to keep their homes, colonies and religious places clean, and celebrate this auspicious occasion like a festival.

 Later in the day the CM visited Tapkeshwar temple where he prayed for peace, happiness, prosperity and happiness of the State and its people. He viewed the ceremony of the Pran Pratishtha of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya on a screen in the temple.

After the ceremony the CM distributed Prasad to the devotees in the Tapkeshwar temple.  “Today is the day to take a pledge to bring Shri Ram’s sense of justice and morality, integrity, courage, decency and compassion in our lives. Today Ram Lalla is in his grand temple. It has been made possible by the penance of saints, sacrifice of kar-sevaks, and strong willpower of the PM,’’ he said.

In the evening Dhami went to Haridwar where he participated in a special Pooja at Har Ki Paidi. A grand Deepotsava was organised at the Ganga Ghat on the occasion.
