MDDA planning to shift Macchi Bazaar to near proposed Adhat Bazaar location

The vice chairman of Mussoorie Dehradun Development Authority (MDDA) Banshidhar Tiwari directed the officials to examine all points related to feasibility and financial viability before making a proposal to shift Macchi Bazaar near the proposed Adhat Bazaar in Brahmawala. He stated this in a meeting held on Thursday to review the progress of the proposed and ongoing projects of MDDA. The officials informed him in the meeting that the revenue received from ISBT in the form of daily payment is quite less as compared to other states.

Considering this, he instructed the officials to revise the monthly fee fixed for the allotted shops. He directed them to prepare a proposal regarding the same within one week after holding meetings with the union headquartered in ISBT. Besides this, he also instructed the officials to start preparation of a detailed project report and tender for the construction of Eco Park. The VC also instructed officials for laying the foundation stone of the new proposed Adhat Bazaar soon. Besides this, he also directed to lay the foundation stone of works related to the garden section, beautification of the proposed waterfall in Maldevta, beautification of Gaura Devi Park and ISBT Park among others. He directed the officials to complete the pending facade improvement and beautification works started during the global investors summit last year. He also asked them to soon inaugurate the newly constructed bus stand and City Forest Project in Herbertpur and to lay the foundation stone of the proposed Tehsil parking project.

Tiwari directed them to prepare a marketing plan for the sale of all the residential projects of the MDDA besides appointing at least one marketing staff  on the Aalayam MDDA housing project. He also directed action against the agency responsible for delaying the work under the Indira Market project. Tiwari also gave instructions to develop the track from Shahanshahi to Jharipani. He directed them to repair the route and make proper arrangements for benches and sheds among others for the people to rest.
