Seriously injured duo airlifted to AIIMS on CM’s directions

On the directions of chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat, two seriously injured persons were airlifted to All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Rishikesh on Saturday.

A total of five persons were injured in a road accident on the Deval-Suyalkot motor road in Chamoli district. Of these, two persons sustained serious injuries. In order to ensure timely treatment, the CM ordered that the seriously injured duo be airlifted by helicopter to AIIMS in Rishikesh. He also issued directions to the doctors concerned regarding the treatment of the two persons.

Rawat has wished a speedy recovery for all the injured. It will be recalled that on Friday, a seven months pregnant woman from Tehri was airlifted to AIIMS on the directions of the CM. The woman had been referred to AIIMS as she was in need of immediate medical attention due to some complications. Reaching AIIMS in Rishikesh by road would have taken longer and also posed some health risk to the pregnant woman so the CM had ordered that she be airlifted to AIIMS.
