Heavy rain alert issued for 4 districts today

The State meteorological centre has issued an alert for keeping a watch on the possibility of heavy rainfall with intense spells at isolated places in Pithoragarh, Bageshwar, Champawat and Nainital districts today. Light to moderate rain/thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in Kumaon region and at a few places in Garhwal region on Sunday.

Further, light rain/thundershowers are likely to occur in Dehradun where the maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 33 degrees Celsius and 24 degrees Celsius respectively. Meanwhile, the maximum and minimum temperatures recorded at various places on Saturday were 32.9 degrees Celsius and 23.4 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 34 degrees Celsius and 25.5 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 24.7 degrees Celsius and 15.4 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 24.8 degrees Celsius and 18.4 degrees Celsius respectively in New Tehri.
