HC appointed committee visits AIIMS-R

The members of the district monitoring committee constituted by the Uttarakhand High Court (HC) for monitoring treatment of Covid-19 patients visited the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Rishikesh on Wednesday. The team inspected facilities at the institute and took feedback from the patients and their relatives. The director of the AIIMS Rishikesh Ravikant informed the committee that a special centre having 400 beds for Covid-19 patients has been set up in the institute. He said that six special ICU (16 beds in each ICU) have been set up for critical patients of Covid-19. The director said that a plasma bank is working in the institute and 50 patients have so far been given plasma therapy. The head of the committee, civil magistrate (upper division) and secretary district legal services authority Neha Kushwaha expressed satisfaction on the services and treatment provided to the Covid-19 patients in AIIMS Rishikesh.
