Public participation programmes focused on the G20 summit at Kendriya Vidyalaya II, Roorkee concluded with recitation of poems and rendering of songs by the students from classes III to XII online. The school authority said that about 50 students of the school had participated in the programme through videos of their poems and songs.
Principal of the school Arvind Kumar said that starting from June 1, the students of the school had participated in activities like poster making, slogan writing, elocution, cycle rally, judo camp, environmental awareness and poetry recitation and singing.
With the conclusion of the G20-related programme, the week-long Yoga festival has started at the institute. While demonstrating different types of Asanas and Yoga postures, Dehradun region deputy commissioner of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan Sukriti Raiwani, through an audio message, expounded the history of yoga and its utility in life with the balance of body and mind stressed.
