Few authors of the current generation attempt to touch upon the most heinous crime- rape. In his book ‘Dare Delhi Dare to Care’, author Ruchir Verma, through his protagonist Devi takes the reader to the dark alley of rape.
The characterisation of Devi as an ordinary girl makes it appealing to the reader. The depiction of a previous well known tragedy in the story makes it an edgy thriller. The formation of a gang for a greater good reminds the reader of a superhero formed from daring and willingness of an ordinary man to make a positive change in society.
