Covid-19 recovery percentage improving in U’khand

More recoveries than new cases propel recovery percentage to 92.71

With more recoveries from Covid-19 than the new cases of the disease in the last few days, the recovery percentage in Uttarakhand is consistently improving. The recovery percentage in the state now stands at a healthy 92.71 percent. Continuing the trend of more recoveries, the state health department reported 695 recoveries on Monday which are more than double the number of new cases ( 301) reported on the day. A total of 92112 patients have so far been reported in the state out of which 85400 have recovered from the disease. The authorities reported the death of eight patients of the disease on Monday after which the death toll mounted to 1535 in the state.

Two patients of Covid-19 each were reported dead at Government Doon Medical College (GDMC) hospital and District Hospital, Pithoragarh on Monday. One patient each was reported dead at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Rishikesh, Himalayan hospital, Dehradun, Mahant Indiresh hospital Dehradun and Sushila Tiwari government hospital Haldwani on Monday.

The health department reported 125 patients of the disease from Dehradun, 74 from Nainital, 23 from Haridwar, 20 from Udham Singh Nagar, 17 from Champawat, nine from Uttarkashi, seven each from Almora, Pauri and Pithoragarh, six from Rudraprayag, four from Chamoli and two from Tehri on Monday.  Out of the 695 recoveries on Monday, 173 were from Dehradun, 123 from Pithoragarh, 114 from Nainital, 89 from Udham Singh Nagar and 57 from Haridwar.  

Uttarakhand now has 3966 active cases of the disease. Dehradun is at continuing to remain at top of the table of active cases with 1205 cases while with 851 active cases Nainital is at second spot. Haridwar now at third position with 355 cases, Pithoragarh has 265, Uttarkashi 211, Tehri 202, Bageshwar 151, Almora 142, Pauri 139, Udham Singh Nagar and Champawat 136 each and Chamoli 114 active cases of the disease. With 59 active cases of Covid-19, Rudraprayag is now at the bottom of the table of active cases of Covid-19.
